When Louis Bassett, Sr. and his wife Norma started making wooden boats in 1944, they closed deals with a handshake. That was good enough for their customers, who knew they could count on them to provide the best products and services possible. "We will do whatever we have to do to please our customers", they were fond of saying.

For over 58 years, this has been the Bassett Boat creed and today the owners, daughter Diane Bassett Zable and husband Paul J. Zable are proud to do everything they can to continue the legacy. They enjoy the thrill of pleasure boating with their three children, Norell, John Paul, and Ryan. Tagging along for the ride is their fun-loving Labrador retriever, Bogi, who enjoys boating just as much as anyone.
